Bali Safari an Marine Park

The Elephant’s Story posed the theme featured by Bali Safari and Marine Park in the event entitled Coaching Clinic Photography not long ago. The event participated by 30 photographers from local, national and international media as well as photographic community aimed at delivering message to the community on the importance of conservational activities.

Such event was attended by Director of Biodiversity Conservation, Department. of Forestry, Dr. Tony Suhartono speaking about the role and function of government in biodiversity conservation and it invited Arbain Rambey as speaker and trainer of photography. Director of Taman Safari Indonesia (TSI) Jansen Manangsang conveyed the information about the activities carried out by Taman Safari Indonesia, chiefly the conservation of Sumatran elephant and appealed the community to care of the existence of the elephant that almost comes to extinction due to the expansion of land opening for oil palm, tree cutting and ivory hunting.

Nadine Chandrawinata also attended the event as Sumatran Elephant Ambassador together with schoolchildren from some elementaly schools existing around the park such as that Serongga, Lebih and Medahan Village. Along with participants of coaching, Nadine watched the presentation of Elephant Show, a program made by Bali Safari and Marine Park recounting about the conflict of elephant with human and it was intended to take human beings to live the life in harmony with nature.

Coaching clinic photography organized by Bali Safari and Marine Park is expected to become a unique and advantageous forum where all parties mutually shared knowledge, learned and shared with the community to provide special attention on the existence of such biggest mammal on earth, namely elephant whose existence virtually enters into extinction.
